Small Group or Team Coaching
Team coaching helps teams achieve their identified goals while building and/or maintaining an inclusive environment. It is about encouraging collaboration among team members and optimizing the effectiveness of this collaboration. Team coaching helps teams to break free from anything that might be holding them back and to provide tools to avoid this in the future. In this dynamic, it is the team, not just the team leader, that is the client.
Effective teams rely on several key components:
Tools to support these key components will be used to support the development of the team you desire.
Group coaching will occasionally be offered on a variety of topics; please watch for communication on this.
If you have a group of individuals with a similar goal and would like to set up a structured group coaching session, please contact Emily.
It is common in many team or group coaching dynamics to involve two trained coaches. This will be discussed at booking.
1/2 Day Intensive
This is perfect for you if:
This is an intensive half-day coaching session (3.5 hours). Together, we will focus on identifying your values, key challenges, and most important goals and defining a clear strategy to support your goal achievement.
Anticipate curiosity, time to reflect, activities, gain insight, a strategy for moving forward (one small step at a time), and to be exhausted (in a good way).
This session includes one 45-minute follow-up coaching session two weeks after the intensive.
Employee Training & Coaching
"What do we live for, if not to make life less difficult for each other?" ~George Eliot
The benefits of coaching are substantial. Offering coaching as an employee benefit is innovative and wise for all involved.
Take your company’s values off the wall and place them into the hearts of your people! The RoundTable™ Methodology is a process that promotes change from within instead of only seeing outward compliance to rules.
The approach of the RoundTable™ is very simple and highly effective. Using values, they employ two-way communication in a structured environment. Ideas are not taught they are facilitated. During RoundTable™, a designated person leads, but all participants are sharing from their own experiences. As a result, everyone grows together. RoundTable™ is conducted in a small group setting consisting of four to ten people, takes between thirty (four people) and sixty minutes (ten people), gives every participant a “voice” and the opportunity for a win, and is designed to emphasize and promote personal growth.
It consists of:
Building Your Own Personal Board of Directors
Life engenders life. Energy creates energy. It is by spending oneself that one becomes rich. ~Sarah Bernhardt
We all need a team of strong supporters. In today’s world, we have available to us an abundance of information, opportunities and choices. All of which drives us down the never-ending road of decision-making. Your PBOD acts as a sounding board and will provide you with unfiltered feedback on life decisions, opportunities, relationships, and challenges as they arise. During this time together, we will discuss the role of your PBOD and the important factors to consider when thoughtfully building your own PBOD.
And so the adventure begins...
For organizations, teams, and individuals!
Want to make a Positive Change? Is it time to reflect, recover and reset? Goal setting is an opportunity to set an intention, commit to that intention, and develop a plan to achieve your objective. This workshop helps participants identify their goals and leads them through a personal and/or professional planning process. Workbook and planning sheets are included. The emphasis is on the process, not the goal. Goal setting is not restricted to January 1. It happens continuously.

3 Levels of Listening, 5 Ways to Lead & Why Values Matter in Business &
“The growth and development of people is the highest calling of leadership.” ~ Harvey S Firestone
As a professional in the corporate world, a community volunteer, and with over 20 years of experience in education, I’ve been fortunate to work alongside and lead diverse groups of teams and individuals.
Having a Masters in Educational Leadership & Administration and received coach training through Accelerating Coach Excellence (ACE), working with David Peterson (Former Director of Executive Coaching & Leadership at Google) and David Goldsmith (pioneer of the coaching industry) in addition to the Co-Active Training Institute (CTI), I am always ready to meet and serve my clients where they are.
Recognizing the power of ongoing learning, growth, and development, I consider myself a lifelong learner. Through this lens, I work with clients to discover a successful path in their life and work journey. One of my favorite quotes is, “Your life is a story, make it a bestseller.” It is my goal to establish a trusting relationship that inspires, empowers, and motivates clients to progress and succeed. I consider it an honor to partner with clients to establish clear goals, bring awareness to underlying beliefs, and commit to a measurable action plan; having fun and meaningful conversations is part of the journey in ultimately creating their own “bestseller.”
I look forward to working with you on your personal journey – from the inside out.
"We all have different gifts, so we all have different ways of saying to the world who we are." ~Fred Rogers
Fred Rogers or as many of us know him as the host of the "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood," show, didn't shy away from difficult subjects. He was steadfast in his message about our differences. He saw those as gifts, not something to be afraid of.
I recognize how better my own life has become as a result of the deep inner and discovery work of who I am and how I want to show up in life. The gift of really zooming in on my values and clearly defining them for ME - is what I really want others to experience.
Like all of you, I continue to be and always will be a work in progress.!
If you are ready to begin the important work of writing your own story, let's get started together!

"Working with Emily inspires, motivates, and energizes me. She has helped me understand my own intuition in ways I never have before, bringing to light all of the wisdom I already have inside of me. I love that we intentionally design our time together as we go and she's always checking in to make sure the process works for me. Even when she's challenging me or providing opportunities for growth, Emily is kind, thoughtful, and supportive. I end every session saying "this was so incredibly helpful". I have loved working with Emily as my coach!"
After just a few months with Emily, my perspective has completely shifted and I find myself more energized and focused in addition to have regained some of my lost courage to move forward with decision making that will best serve me and those in my life.
I always look forward to my coaching sessions with Emily. She is a great listener and honors who I am as an individual. She provides appropriate challenges and has a way of moving me to an outcome that resonates with me. Her questions and guidance are thoughtful and thought provoking. I always leave our sessions in a better mental space and with an action plan to keep me moving forward.
Emily Smith, co-creator of Touchstone Central Coast, has empowered special educators in our school district to treat ourselves with self-compassion as we face head-on, the significant uncertainties and multiple pivots brought on by the pandemic. She artfully blended key research with her personal experiences as an educator to provide us with relatable, practical tips to bring self-compassion into our daily lives. I highly recommend Touchstone Central Coast; what they have to offer both on an individual and organizational level is timely, relevant, and definitely worthwhile.
